ABOUT US
HISTORY
Payette First Baptist church began as a small group meeting in a wooden schoolhouse in 1887. They grew and built a church in 1902 and moved to it's current home on 15 North 10th Street in 1970. Our church bells ring at 10:45 on Sundays and play a song each noon throughout the week.
First Baptist Church is a member of Mission Northwest (Mission Northwest link), and American Baptist Churches USA (American Baptist Churches USA link).
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU VISIT
Come as you are, whether in t-shirt and jeans or Sunday best, and expect a warm greeting as you enter.
Sunday morning Bible studies begin at 9:30. They include a women’s study and the Encourager study for both men and women. Sunday school for children runs at the same time.
Coffee and snacks are available in the Fellowship Hall at 10:30 before our 11:00 service which lasts about an hour.
We gather for one worship service where children of all ages are welcome, with a nursery available with live audio feed from the sanctuary. Before the message we share prayer requests and praises, then lift our voices in hymns and songs of faith.
We remember the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ on the first Sunday of every month. Our communion is open, meaning all believers are welcome to participate at His table of remembrance.
Come join us, there’s always room for you!

OUR PASTOR

We are thankful for the ministry and faithful service provided by our interim pastors these last few years, Steve Morreale and, more recently, Chad Marvin.
We are pleased to announce Travis Rosenberry will be joining us as our new pastor! Please check back soon for more information about Pastor Travis and his ministry with us.
In the meantime, Pastor Duane Vaughn will be filling in for Sunday messages while Travis and his wife, Melanie, get settled in Payette.
We look forward to this new chapter and are grateful for God's continued guidance and provision for our church.
