AMERICA FOR CHRIST

Each year we take four special offerings (one per quarter) to help out ABC ministries.  On March 18^th, we will be taking the America for Christ Offering.  This offering is distributed in three parts, 29% supports regional ministries; 59% supports the ministries of the American Baptist Home Mission Societies and 12% underwrites the offering’s promotional and deputation costs.  Some of the areas that have been supported were the Children in Poverty ministry, the Neighborhood Action Program Christian Centers,
Chaplaincy Programs, American Baptist Homes and Hospitals, and Disaster Relief.  You can give to the America for Christ offering at any time, however, on March 18^th there will be a special envelope in your bulletin for your donation.

MEALS ON WHEEL FUNDRAISER

Our 12^th Annual Meals on Wheels Soup Lunch is almost here.  We provide soup, bread, salads, desserts and drinks for a donation to the Payette Senior Center’s Meals on Wheels program.  Last year we raised over $900!!  We need your help again this year.  We need you to sign up and bring food items and help with our guests on Sunday, March 25^th after Worship.  There will be several sign up sheets in the foyer.  Richell Kekelis will be bringing her delicious rolls for the bread and Carol Vaugh and Darlene Gilbert have offered to make chili.  Watch for the sign ups coming soon!

LOOKING AHEAD

The Ministerial Association will be having a Good Friday service at the Payette United Methodist Church at noon on Friday, April 6^th.  This service should only last about 30 minutes.  Ministers from different churches in Payette have been asked to participate.  Make plans to attend this Good Friday service.

On Friday, April 6^th, we will be hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive from noon to 5:00 PM.  We will need help putting the church back together for Easter Sunday following the blood drive.  If you can help, please call the church office.
