Ordination Recognized
On Sunday, May 5th, the ABC will formally recognize Pastor Vaughn’s ordination during our Worship service. Reverend Clint Webb, retired pastor of Oak Harbor First Baptist Church, will be here to conduct the ceremony. There will be a reception following the Worship service.
Yard Sale!!!
It’s time for our annual yard sale! We will be setting up on Thursday, May 17th beginning at 9:00 AM. We appreciate all the help to make the job go faster. We put everything out on tables and price it all. For those who help, after we are done, they may go “shopping” for anything they wish to purchase. The Yard Sale will be on Friday, May 18th starting at 8:00 AM. There is a sign up sheet in the foyer for two hour shifts that day. We will also need help with clean up after the sale (we like men to help too!)
We are still taking donations for the sale. If you have an item you need transported to the church, please call the church office and we will arrange to pick it up.
Goodies – Last year we made cinnamon rolls and cookies to sell at the sale. If you would be willing to make cookies or cinnamon rolls, please put your name by the item you will make on the sign up sheet.
This yard sale is the Mary-Martha Circle’s big money maker for the year. It allows us to mail our white cross quotas, give to our missionaries, mail our Haiti bags, purchase turkey for harvest home, purchase everything for our soup lunch, etc. We appreciate all the donations we get of sale items as well as the help we need to set up, during the sale, and clean up. Thank you for all you do!!!!

Memorial Service
There will be a memorial service for Idabelle Deshazer on Saturday, May 11th beginning at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary. Anyone who would like to share memories of Idabelle will be welcome to add to the service. Please contact Joe Wikoff if you would like to speak.
Run/Walk to the Cross
The second annual Run/Walk to the Cross will be held on Saturday, May 18th beginning at 8:30 AM. For a donation of $25.00 or more you can get a T-Shirt, or for a donation of $100 or more you can have your name or business name put on the back of the T-Shirt. There is a 1-mile walk to the cross and back and a 5K timed run or walk from McCain Middle School parking lot to the cross and back. We have registration forms available, or you can register the day of the race between 7:00 and 8:15 AM. If you have any questions, please contact the church office.
We also will be needing help the day of the Run/Walk. If you would be interested in helping with registration or any other areas they need help, please let Pastor know.
Prayer Chain
Enclosed you will find the new prayer chain. We will begin using the new chain on Monday, April 29th. To start the chain, call Barbara Fitch (if unavailable call any person at the top of the chain). For those on the chain, you call the person under you, (if unavailable leave a message and keep calling down the chain so the prayer request gets to the end.) It helps to write down the request in a prayer journal, so that you pass on the same information and you can see how God answers each prayer!
